What is “Primary Research” and “Secondary Research”?
“Primary research” is a method to gather “data” that has not obtain before, and the gathered data can be raw.
The researcher can ensure the objective and manage the research result as you wish. “Primary research” involves asking people about their opinions outside their related field through interviews and visiting observations.
“Secondary Research” is a method to collect and obtain “information” previously collected by someone else, such as reading credible resources like books, essays, websites…etc.
“Secondary Research” can be a very efficient way to gather a lot of related “information” that you need, but also is a supporting pillar to “primary research”. It is because it can let you know more about the topic you are concerned about and researching right now, and then you can use them to create ideas for “primary research”, like designing questions, or aspects of observation.
